Young Entrepreneurs’ Meet in Entrepreneurship and Management Development Institute on 26^th August 2006

Entrepreneurship and Management Development Institute organised a one day meet on 26^th August 2006 of successful first generation young entrepreneurs’. In this meet successful entrepreneurs trained by EMI under different Entrepreneurship Development Programme participated. Shri Purushotam Agrwal Secretary Industries delivered keynote address on growth of SME sector. He also shared experiences with successful entrepreneurs of the Institute and assured of Government’s help in their further growth.

Shri Ashok Sampatram, Principal Secretary Industries chaired Problem Solving Session along with panelists from Financial Institutions, Industries Department and other subject specialist. In the interaction first generation entrepreneurs mentioned difficulties and problems being faced by them for running the business. Panel gave purposeful instructions to the participating entrepreneurs for better business performance.

Shri Anil Vaish, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan after plantation inaugurated the newly constructed display centre cum exhibition hall. Successful Entrepreneurs exhibited their products like Bio medical Instruments, Electronic Remote sensing products, Food Products, Herbal products and Garments etc. During campus visit he talked to the participants of the ongoing training programmes. In the interactive session he elicited information on income generation and employment generation from each successful first generation entrepreneur. He also checked entrepreneurial capabilities of the successful entrepreneurs by asking a variety of questions. He also heard the problems being faced by these young entrepreneurs and instructed all the official concerned present in the meet to solve them. He provided direction for taking up growth related training programmes and incorporating changes in the existing training programme for making them more meaningful. Shri Vaish also distributed copies of the book  “Wings of fire” written by Honourable President Shri Abdul Kalam to participants. 

Director of the Institute Shri Rohit R. Brandon appreciated the achievements of the successful entrepreneurs and motivated them for further growth. He assured the Chief Secretary and all the participants for all sort of help from the institute for their problems as well as growth. He also mentioned that the profile of all the successful first generation entrepreneurs at the Institute should be placed on Institute’s Website.
